JIMMY SHARMAN BOXING TROUPE
Sportsmen
visiting the Show this week will welcome the reappearance in Rockhampton
of Jimmy Sharman and his troupe of boxing and wrestling stars.By special permission of Stadiums
Ltd, Jimmy is bringing
to the Show the famous little Australian dual championship winner, Micky Miller.
This great little scrapper will tackle all-comers up to 11 st. in weight.
Mickey recently returned to Melbourne after knocking out the champions of
Tasmania and Western Australia at the Hobart and Perth Stadiums respectively. Among
themany: highly-rated fighters Mickey
has beaten is Eddie Miller, now in England. Another topliner in this year's troupe is the coloured KO king, "The
Black Bomber" who is also a noted hillbilly singer. The international,
John Sampson, will also be here to provide wrestling thrills. Other members of the troupe, weighing from 8 st to heavyweights
will be prepared to meet all-comer.
